not merely superfluous, but ridiculous
Because this website is going to act as a comprehensive repository of all my internet writing, I’m transferring over my old work from previous blogs. This post was originally published on 29 March 2013. I have not kept up with drawing.
When I had more free time on my hands (i.e. college), I would write and draw comic strips. Even got a few series published in the student newspaper, before I didn’t get a paycheck and wrote a series of comic strips about how the paper was ripping me off. Turns out that’s the sort of thing that gets you fired.
Anyway, I’ve been trying to get back into drawing a little bit. One think I’ve always tried to do is make a cartoon version of myself, because other people I know might get mad if I make exaggerated versions of them. I still don’t have a handle on my own facial features, but I recently did some tracings of photographs, and I think it’s helping.
